Beaudesert State High Recognised as exclusive Construction Pathways Partner
Beaudesert State High has been invited to join the prestigious Construction Pathways School Partner program as a Building and Construction Gateways school, for strong commitment to supporting students exploring careers in the construction industry.
As a Construction Pathways Partner School, Beaudesert State High will gain exclusive access to construction experience learning activities and events, specialised student and teacher resources, and enhanced opportunities to connect students with future employers.
Kaine & Mya joined Steve Cunliffe from CSQ(on right), Youth Support Coordinator Scott Weston & Principal Damien Burke last week so our school could proudly accept a partnership plaque and commemorative hard hat, symbolising CSQ's commitment to preparing students for real-world career opportunities.
The Construction Pathways initiative, led by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), is designed to inspire and equip young people with the knowledge and experiences necessary to consider careers in the booming construction sector. Through hands-on activities, in-class resources, and site visits, students gain a firsthand understanding of industry opportunities.
CSQ CEO Geoff Clare commended Beaudesert State High for its dedication to guiding students toward meaningful career choices by providing real-world exposure to the construction industry.
“Beaudesert State High has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to offering students well-rounded career guidance," Mr. Clare said. “The Construction Pathways School Partners program is an invitation-only initiative that allows us to collaborate closely with select schools, providing them with additional resources, exclusive events, and industry engagement opportunities.
“This may include VR classroom experiences, 'Construction Chats' with local industry professionals, site tours, and hands-on 'Try-a-Trade' events.
“We understand that choosing subjects and planning future careers can be overwhelming for students and their families. Construction Pathways provides critical information about job opportunities, salaries, and training options, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at what working in construction is really like.
“Our goal is to spark interest and excitement among students, helping them discover a potential future in the industry."
Principal Damien Burke expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasising the benefits it will bring to both students and teachers.
“The opportunity to be part of the Construction Pathways School Partner program is incredibly valuable for our school community," Mr Burke said. “We look forward to working closely with CSQ to maximise these resources and experiences for our students."
The Construction Pathways team will collaborate with Beaudesert State High throughout the year to develop a tailored program of engagements, ensuring students make the most of the opportunities available through this exclusive partnership.
