Here at Beaudesert SHS, we strive to ensure that students have every opportunity to develop the digital skills so vital to the 21st Century workforce.

We have 12 dedicated computer labs, with full classroom sets of desktop computers. A further 10 classrooms have a smaller amount  of desktop computers, allowing for research.

28 classrooms have their own set of laptops, that are stored in a charging trolley. The laptops can be used in that classroom, taken to another classroom, or even taken outside for an outdoors lesson in the fresh air.

Our Arts Department has 2 sets of MacBook laptops, installed with the latest in industry standard  Adobe creative software. These MacBooks are assigned to art, photography and media classes.

Our Japanese, Learning Diversity, Media, Literacy and Numeracy and HPE departments also have their own sets of iPads, allowing students to work with games, apps, video creation and other features.

Students have the opportunity to work with both Windows and Apple devices, allowing them to develop familiarity with the world's 2 major operating systems.

As well as standard word-processing, they have access to software for:

  • coding
  • web-building
  • data and spreadsheets
  • 3D modelling
  • menu planning and nutrition analysis
  • digital art
  • photograph editing
  • fitness tracking.
Students are also able to download multiple free copies of Microsoft software to home computers, tablets and their phones. For more information, please see our Free Microsoft software page.
