Legal Studies.
Legal Studies is a specialised subject focused on the concepts and processes of the Australian legal system.
Students are introduced to the legal foundations of our system, as well as topics such as criminal law, civil law contracts and negligence, governance, law reform and human rights.
Legal Studies develops a foundation that will be useful for further study in the fields of law, corrections services, law enforcement, criminology, justice studies and politics.
The subject usually includes an excursion to the courts in Brisbane, in order to assist students in gaining a practical understanding of our justice system. On this excursion students are able to view cases taking place and are able to see the roles and personalities involved.
