The School Social Worker uses evidence-based intervention strategies to support young people experiencing challenges with mental health, and social and emotional wellbeing.
Jess applies strengths-based, person-centred and trauma-informed frameworks to work alongside students to maximise their engagement with education and helps to identify strengths and challenges in order to help provide support to students to overcome barriers in relation to school attendance. Jess also helps to support students and parents/carers in communicating with the school and accessing supports in the community.
Jess currently works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
Kevin is the wellbeing and reading dog who can be found most days in the wellbeing hub or walking around the school looking for pats and scraps. Kevin is a 4-year-old fluffy Frenchie who adores people and hugs. Kevin brings a smile to everyone's face and is an absolute asset to Beaudesert State High School
