Supportive Programs and Making Connections
Our school Chaplain, Annalies Nutley (known as Chappy Anna, or simply Chappy)
has been working here at BSHS since Term 3 of 2023.
Working Monday-Thursday, Chappy Anna makes every effort to make strong connections in order to understand the diverse issues that face our students and the youth of today.
BHSH consists of a range of young people from all backgrounds, and finding the skills to cater for all the various needs can be challenging. Our Chappy is trained to run a range of programs, both in group form and individual one on one sessions. These usually involve working on social skills such as relationships, assertiveness, frustrating situations, goal setting and more.
While our Chaplain predominantly works with students, her role also involves supporting teachers and families, as well as community development. Chappy Anna has a welcoming presence and is available to talk to parents or community members at any time. Feel free to give her a call and have a chat. Alternatively, you might like to visit her during school hours to learn more about her role as the High School Chaplain.
