We offer an absolutely outstanding range of opportunities at Beaudesert SHS for students to explore both the creative and practical sides of manual arts.

 Year 8 Design and Technologies

Students are introduced to manual arts skills in Year 8, within the broader Design and Technologies subject. Coursework involves creating a folio of designs, and using the 3D printer and laser cutter to manufacture their designs.

Year 9 Design and Technologies

In this subject, students are presented with a range of real-world problems, and choose one to focus on. They then design a solution, and create either a simulation or prototype.

Year 9 Materials and Technologies Specialisations

In this subject, students are introduced to the practical skills needed within the timber and metalwork industries.

Year 10 Design and Technologies

Year 10 Design and Technologies continues on with developing students' theoretical and creative design abilities to provide solutions to problems, incorporating practical aspects when making their sample product.

Year 10 Materials and Technologies Specialisations

Students continue to expand and further develop the practical metal and woodworking skills introduced in Year 9.
