When an opportunity to get more involved with high school students became available, the team at Franklin Plumbing & Gas saw a win - win opportunity. The demand for trades continues to escalate and with it, comes the need for more training especially for students prior to leaving school as well as more clearly defined career pathways.

John is keen to provide hands on support for students keen on looking at a trade as a career. “We fully acknowledge the hard work and determination of staff and students at Beaudesert State High. By providing support with additional funding we know the school can help students gain a stronger, more secure future. This is good for students and the community, which is good for all of us”

“Schools are the hub of strong resilient communities such as Beaudesert and with the support of local business we can achieve so much more. We thank John and Emelie and the team at Franklin Plumbing & Gas for coming onboard. Local involvement means we know we can continue to do more for students.” highlights Mr Grant Stephensen, Principal Beaudesert State High.

The financial support provided through this sponsorship agreement will provide more opportunities for students and staff including:

  • Improved access to IT resources for all students
  • Upgraded and expanded student well-being space and the provision of a full-time school nurse
  • Improved amenities and increased green spaces in student break areas
  • Provision of uniforms and equipment for Signature Programs
  • Identifying new pathways into local employment for our senior students
