Year 9 SUBJECT SELECTION Process for year 10 2026 TUESDAY 5 August
The subject selection process for students undertaking studies in year 10 in 2026 is underway.
Students will be receiving information about subjects being offered through:
- Student information sessions conducted by Heads of Department and Senior Teachers.
- Subject handbooks and Get Connected lessons designed around exploring future pathways.
- All year 9 students will participate in the Careers Ready Expo on Tuesday 5 August here at the school during Period four.
- A parent information afternoon regarding subject selection for Year 9 students will also be held on Tuesday 5 August, commencing at 3:30pm, concluding at 6:00pm in the Performing Arts and Multi Purpose buildings. (see below for program)
- Parents and students will be able to view displays, access information and seek help from Guidance officers, Heads of Department, subject teachers or members of the Administration Team.
The students' selections at this stage will be used to determine the 'block offerings' that will be used when final selections are made later this term, 3rd and 4th September during parent, student and Teacher interviews.
This first stage of selections will be due by Friday 15 August.
I cannot stress enough the importance of this process as students are entering their Senior phase of their education. They are selecting subjects for the next 3 years of study and possible future pathways.
I encourage all students and parents to involve themselves in this very important process.
Kind regards
Mr Damian O'Brien
Deputy Principal
