We're delighted to introduce Kaz Weston, our new Link and Launch Officer, supporting young people as they take their next steps beyond Year 12. Kaz takes over the reins from Bel Brown who has moved into the Vocational Education Training (VET) space here at school.

You may or may not be aware that Link and Launch is all about helping recent school leavers who haven't yet transitioned into study, training or work. Kaz works one-on-one with young people to explore options that match their goals, strengths and interests, from fee-free TAFE and apprenticeships to employment and alternative university pathways.
And yes… if the surname sounds familiar, that's because Kaz is married to Scott Weston, our Youth Support Coordinator, making this a powerhouse duo supporting young people in our community.
“It's great to be working with young people again and I'm keen to meet as many local young people as I can and help them find and navigate that transition that often happens after high school. And I can help any local young person who has completed Year 12 in the past two years, regardless of which school they attended" Kaz highlights.
With proven success across Queensland, Link and Launch is making a real difference, and we're thrilled to have Kaz on board to continue that work here in Beaudesert.
If you know a young person who could benefit, feel free to reach out to Kaz direct via email kwest185@eq.edu.au
