In a digital world where banking takes place on a mobile phone, it can be easy to forget that there was a time that a person from the bank would turn up to a school and collect the banking deposits of students each week.
In 2023, it will look very different at Beaudesert State High School when the bank, namely BOQ Beenleigh will be turning up with the money instead.
Mr Brian Managbanag, Owner Manager of BOQ Beenleigh joined with Principal Mr Grant Stephensen to confirm an annual sponsorship arrangement with high school.
Brian and his team are looking forward to getting involved within the Scenic Rim community. “We fully acknowledge the hard work and determination of staff and students at Beaudesert State High. By providing support with additional funding we know the school can help students gain a stronger, more secure future. This is good for students and the community, which is good for all of us"
“Schools are the hub of a growing community like Beaudesert and the more we can come together and share resources and ideas the more resilient we all become. We thank Brian and the team at BOQ Beenleigh who are known for their strong community involvement and we look forward to what we will achieve together!" highlights Mr Grant Stephensen, Principal Beaudesert State High.
The financial support provided through this sponsorship agreement will provide more opportunities for students and staff including:
- Improved access to IT resources for all students
- Upgraded and expanded student well-being space and the provision of a full-time school nurse
- Improved amenities and increased green spaces in student break areas
- Provision of uniforms and equipment for Signature Programs
- Identifying new pathways into local employment for our senior students
