Supporting Student Learning
Across Our Community
During March 2026, students in Years 7 and 9 at our school will participate in the National Assessment Program-Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN).
The NAPLAN test window runs from Wednesday 11 March to Monday 23 March 2026, with schools required to schedule tests as early as possible within this period, prioritising the first week. Specific testing days and times will be confirmed by the school.
NAPLAN provides one snapshot of student learning in literacy and numeracy and sits alongside everyday classroom assessments and teacher judgement. It helps schools, teachers and education systems better understand how students are progressing and where additional support or extension may be needed.
All NAPLAN tests for Year 7 and Year 9 students are completed online and are designed to adapt to student responses, allowing a wide range of abilities to be assessed accurately.
Students are not expected to study or prepare for NAPLAN. The most valuable support families and the wider community can provide is reassurance, encouraging students to approach the assessments calmly and to simply do their best.
A NAPLAN 2026 Information for Parents and Carers brochure is available for those seeking more detail about the assessments, adjustments for students, and how results are reported and used.
