Beaudesert State High School is proud to announce its participation in this year's Scenic Rim Eat Local Month, showcasing the region's next generation of culinary talent.
The school will host Next Generation Farm to Fork, an exclusive long lunch at Towri Sheep Farm on Wednesday 24 June. This unique event will see students take centre stage, designing the menu, preparing the dishes, and hosting guests for an unforgettable paddock-to-plate experience.
Working alongside a professional chef, students have crafted a menu that celebrates fresh, local produce, much of it grown by the students themselves. From Lamb Kofta and Beef Wellington to slow cooked beef and roasted lamb, followed by Lemon Meringue and Chocolate Tart with Honeycomb, the event promises a rich showcase of flavour, skill and innovation.
“Ingredients grown by students, prepared by students and hosted by students, this is authentic learning brought to life," Mrs Kate Bandrowski, Head of Agriculture Department said.
This long lunch is set to be a standout event on the Eat Local Month calendar, highlighting the strong connection between education, agriculture and community within the Scenic Rim.
